Aditya Dhar
Aditya Dhar (born 12 March 1983) is an Indian film director, screenwriter, producer and lyricist who works in Hindi films. He made his directorial debut with the 2019 war film Uri: The Surgical Strike, which became a critical and commercial success, emerging as the 4th highest-grossing Indian film of the year and earning Dhar the National Film Award for Best Direction. His next film, Dhurandhar, the first film of a projected two-part series, was released in 2025 and became the highest-grossing Indian film of the year and 4th highest-grossing Indian film of all time. Dhar’s films have become known for their nationalistic themes, which have divided critics; commentators have contrastingly described his works as patriotic or propagandistic.
